Frequently asked questions
Common questions about health and safety training in Ireland.
What health and safety training is required by law in Ireland?
Irish employers must provide adequate safety, health and welfare training that is appropriate to the work and identified risks. The required topics and delivery method depend on the employee's tasks, the workplace risk assessment, applicable regulations and any role-specific standard; not every employee automatically needs every course listed on this page.
How often should health and safety training be refreshed?
There is no single refresher period for every course. Employers should use the applicable course standard, risk assessment, work changes, equipment changes and evidence of employee competence. HSA guidance recommends manual handling refreshers at intervals of no more than three years, and earlier after relevant changes.
Do you provide health and safety training certificates?
Participants receive the certificate or completion record specified for the booked programme. Employee course completion certificates are not the same as the QQI Level 6 award held by suitably qualified manual handling instructors. We confirm the certificate type before booking.
Can you deliver health and safety training at our workplace?
Yes, we provide on-site training at your premises anywhere in Ireland. This is often the most cost-effective option for groups of 6 or more. We bring all necessary equipment and materials. We also offer training at our Galway facility and online options for theoretical components.
What is the cost of health and safety training?
Costs vary depending on the course type, group size, and delivery method. Contact us for a customized quote. We offer competitive rates for group bookings and can create training packages combining multiple courses for better value.
