Frequently Asked Questions
How many first aiders do I need in my workplace?
There is no universal one-per-50 rule. The employer should determine first-aid provision through a risk assessment that considers workplace hazards, employee numbers, distribution, shift patterns, remoteness, and access to emergency services.
How long is the first aid certification valid?
The PHECC First Aid Response certificate is valid for two years. Validity for other programmes depends on the certificate and awarding arrangements, which we confirm before booking.
Do you provide on-site training?
Yes, we deliver first aid training at your workplace anywhere in Ireland. This is often more convenient and cost-effective for groups of 6 or more.
What equipment do participants need?
All training equipment including manikins, AED trainers, and first aid supplies are provided. Participants just need to wear comfortable clothing.
