QQI People Handling Instructor Course
Drawing on over 30 years’ experience training instructors across the HSE and wider healthcare sector, this QQI Level 6 course develops confident, competent instructors grounded in evidence-based practice and the HSE Standardised Techniques.
Overview
For more than 30 years, Usafety has trained People Handling Instructors for the HSE and other healthcare organisations. Delivered by instructors with clinical and ergonomic backgrounds, this three-day programme combines the QQI learning outcomes with the HSE Standardised People Moving and Handling Techniques and current evidence-informed practice from HOP7.
Training is practical and tailored to the participants’ clinical environments, equipment and everyday handling challenges. Participants develop the skills to assess risk, teach safe techniques and support person-centred practice within their organisations.

Prerequisites
Participants must have relevant people handling experience.
The QQI Level 6 People Handling Instruction special purpose award requires successful completion of both Instructing Manual Handling (6N0233) and Instructing People Handling (6N0234).
