Prevention and Management of Aggression and Violence

Overview

A practical, risk-based programme that equips staff to recognise, prevent and respond safely to aggression and violence. It covers early warning signs, dynamic risk assessment, communication and de-escalation, personal safety, safe disengagement, team responses, incident reporting and post-incident support.

Duration is determined by the workplace risk assessment and training needs assessment: one day for lower-exposure roles and two days for staff working in higher-risk settings or routinely exposed to aggression or violence, allowing additional scenario-based practice and competency assessment.
