Service Description

This course trains participants to implement a comprehensive manual handling policy within their organisation. Starting from carrying out risk assessments, to implementation of corrective measures such as equipment selection, workplace design and of course training of other staff in correct manual handling techniques and back care. If you have deemed manual handling to be a risk in your organisation then you are legally obliged to provide training for staff and having an in-house Instructor and Risk Assessor is the most cost effective method of implementing this requirement. The course is suitable for all employees but good communication skills and flexibility would be some of the important traits of a manual handling instructor. Participants must pass a competency exam at the end of the course before certification can be given.
