Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments

  • Sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time can lead to discomfort, pain, and potential injury due to the postures we adapt and long periods of sitting.

  • A Display Screen Assessment is carried out by a qualified assessor who is able to evaluate your work setup and give advice on changes that will help alleviate the risk of musculoskeletal injury and discomfort.

  • Display Screen Assessments are a requirement under current Health and Safety law.

  • Homeworkers are particularly prone to the effects of poor DSE setup as they have to adapt to non-standard office workstations setup and restricted space.

Once you book an assessment time our assessor will connect with you over zoom and carry out a questionnaire that will inform the assessor of your current setup and any aches and pains you may currently suffer from. Through your webcam or smart phone, our assessor will be able to view your current setup and make recommendations to ensure your setup meets the minimum requirements under law but also can make recommendations to alleviate pains you may be suffering from.

Some recommendations may be simple to implement and can be done on the spot but there may also be a requirement to recommend new equipment such as seating or keyboard/mouse
